Hi, I’m Santino, a ten-year-old Yorkie with a big personality packed into a little body. I was surrendered by my owner and the shelter was a really scary place for me—especially because my vision isn’t the best. I like slow introductions so I can feel safe, but once I warm up, I’m a silly, goofy little guy who loves to make people smile. One of my favorite things in the world? A good roll in the grass. It’s pure joy! 🌿 It will take me a little time to get used to my new surroundings. I’m just looking for a patient, loving home that will let me go at my own pace and see the sweet boy I truly am.

I love to play with other dogs who don't mind I'm on the dominant side, and with people I love to roll over for snuggles and belly rubs. A good bone or a rope toy can keep me busy! But through it all, I never lost my sweet spirit or my love for people. Since being rescued, I’ve had quite the glow-up! I got a much-needed grooming, had two large masses removed, and went through a big dental procedure (I’m basically rocking a toothless smile now). I’m healing beautifully and feeling better every single day. What I love most? Being close to my people. I absolutely crave affection and will happily soak up all the love you’re willing to give. Only my most trusted council gets a chance to glimpse my (alleged) sweet and loving nature, or gets to witness my ancient rituals of hunting plushie toys and charging to full power in the sun. Allegedly, I even love to “cuddle.” Most human mortals are subject to my unending fury…but I accept other dogs into my realm, for they have not done evil to me as humans have in the past. After lots of crate rest, Vanderpump Dogs was able to provide me with a FHO Surgery to ensure I continued to heal pain-free. Now, I'm recovered, and ready to show you all my love, cuddles, and playtimes! I am a very happy boy who loves humans, playing with toys, and other dogs. I do great with kids too! I would be a great dog for a family with my sweet nature. I really can't believe nobody noticed me yet...I'm a hidden gem! Come fall in love with me!
